The Jung Ones

Musical comment on secular psychoanalysis

based on The Young Ones, recorded by Cliff Richard and the Shadows (1962)

It amuses me to notice that Cliff ad Sigmund list to port, while Karl lists just the same, but he lists to starboard

The Jung ones; Sigmund Freud & Jung ones
And Jung ones shouldn’t be afraid
To delve, deep; in a mind that’s asleep
Cause he may not be unconscious very long.

Analyse, I really want to analyse,
Those images that crawl around your mind!
It’s rum, chum, how you got on with your mum
But we can put you in a trance-state
No problem!

Every day at lunchtime comes a mind like this;
Oh, pains so deep, you moan and grouch
When you slouch upon my couch

Carl Jung dreams
And Sigmund Freud together
Psychoses: our fortune they have made.
But no way while you struggle and groan
Do we have any real answers of our own!

Every day at lunchtime comes a mind like this;
Oh, extrovert or introvert either way you make my brain hurt

The Jung dreams and Sigmund Freud together
Psychoses: our fortune they have made.
But no way while you struggle and groan
Do we have any real answers of our own!
